Aotearoa New Zealand's specialist museum of audio-visual technology is based in the Coronation Town Hall in Foxton. The hall turns 100 years old in November 2026! Marvel at the wide array of radios, recording equipment, cameras, cinema equipment, televisions, musical machines and camcorders.

There will also be a screening of vintage newsreels and short clips in the cinema from 2 – 2.30pm. MAVtech is one of only a handful of theatres in the world that still regularly shows 35mm films using Carbon Arc projectors.
