Mid-Autumn Festival

We are celebrating Mid-Autumn Festival with the Palmerston North Chinese School!

The Mid-Autumn festival is also known as the Moon Festival and is celebrated where the moon is at its brightest. In China, the traditional festival is a time where families gather together to share meals and enjoy the full moon. Lanterns, mooncakes and cultural events help mark the occasion. In New Zealand, Chinese Communities also celebrate and often host events for everyone to join.

The PN Chinese School will be sharing traditional activities to celebrate at the Central Library with Calligraphy, Storytelling and Crafting Workshops. The perfect activity for families to enjoy over the school holidays.
