What does Quiet Time involve at Te Pātikitiki ?
Quiet time is intended to make the Te Pātikitiki space more inclusive or sensory-friendly.
In doing so, we agree to:
- pause collection and distribution of library materials via library carts.
- turn off our music.
- turn off as much lighting as practicable.
- turning down the volume on checkout scanners as well as communication systems such as the telephone.
You can still check-out items from the front desk and the self-checkout machines, and books can be returned at the after-hours slots by the library entrance or at the front desk.
