National Simultaneous Storytime 2026!

Come join us for a fun time where we will celebrate this year's NSS book Luna Roo: the Kangaroo Baller.

Luna Roo was chosen for NSS because it captures the spirit of rising to a challenge with heart and grit.

Originated in Australia and run by ALIA this is now worldwide where schools and libraries read a celebrated chosen book together around the same time (depending on time zones) on the same day. That's millions of kids and grownups!

We will celebrate Luna Roo at our Jumping Jellybeans session 10am in the children's area with stories, music and craft.

Suitable for preschool to 7yrs.

A chance find of an unusual Glaxo baby bottle in the Te Manawa collection store prompted Archivist Juliet Galuszka to explore the history of Glaxo and its abandoned factory in Bunnythorpe.

Craft Session - Design a Level for the 30-Level Library @ Central
