Presented by Louis Changuion, University Archivist, Massey University
From its beginnings as Massey Agricultural College in 1927, Massey University has grown alongside Palmerston North, helping shape the city's identity, economy, culture and community life. Through stories, photographs and highlights from the archives, this presentation explores aspects of the evolving relationship between the university and the city over the past 99 years. Discover how town and gown have influenced one another and consider what this shared history might mean as Massey approaches its centenary in 2027.
Join us during September at the City Library for Local History Month: Presentations, activities, workshops, wānanga, and celebrations.
