Central Library's Fiction area is proud to host an exhibition of work from the Ngā Pou o te Mauri Tau - Lyrical Artistry Programme, which was conducted by Te Aroha Noa Community Services.
"Wāhine were encouraged to express their lived experiences through words.
Each creation carries a piece of their pūrākau- their truth, emotion, mamae, healing, strength and hope.
This exhibition offers only a glimpse through the windows of their lyrical lines- an opportunity to look beyond the words and glimpse the heart, courage and lived experience behind each creation.
Their words. Their stories. Their voices."
This display will be up until November 23. Come and have a look!
