NZ music month is here ! And the city library will be showcasing New Zealand’s annual celebration of great homegrown music and the people who make it. Launch yourself into the world of comics with International Free Comic Day on Saturday 4th of May and on Wednesday 22 May join us for National Simultaneous Storytime.

Ngā mihi o te Tau Hou! Happy New Year! To celebrate Summer Reading we have a selection of fantastic entertainers coming to Palmerston North in January. You don’t have to be participating in the programme to come along. Performances are free and fun for the whole family.

Our Central Library building has been assessed as earthquake-prone. As the building is not deemed dangerous, we're still open for all our usual services and events.

Santa's workshops are back! Come along and make your own Christmas gifts this year. We have all our regular programming with a Christmas twist, and the Camerata Choir is set to entertain on 22 December.

Baby Bop Xmas Ball Clothes Swap
We are finishing our Baby Bop year with a special Xmas Ball for the babies! Just incase not everyone has some suitable clothes for the ball we are having a clothes swap this coming Thursday after Baby Bop. Bring along pretty dresses, nice shirts and pants, headbands, bow ties and any other accessories you no longer want. Sizes 00 - 3yrs.
