Our Central Library building has been assessed as earthquake-prone. As the building is not deemed dangerous, we're still open for all our usual services and events.

What's on in December
Santa's workshops are back! Come along and make your own Christmas gifts this year. We have all our regular programming with a Christmas twist, and the Camerata Choir is set to entertain on 22 December.

Baby Bop Xmas Ball Clothes Swap
We are finishing our Baby Bop year with a special Xmas Ball for the babies! Just incase not everyone has some suitable clothes for the ball we are having a clothes swap this coming Thursday after Baby Bop. Bring along pretty dresses, nice shirts and pants, headbands, bow ties and any other accessories you no longer want. Sizes 00 - 3yrs.

City Library commemorates 125 years of women’s suffrage
On 19 September 1893, New Zealand became the first country where women could vote in general elections. To celebrate the 125th anniversary, Palmerston North City Library is hosting displays, activities and events in conjunction with the national Suffrage 125 Whakatū Wāhine Commemoration programme.
