The Hoffman Kiln opened in early 1905, and although no official opening date has been identified, this year is the kiln’s 120th anniversary. The ‘continuous’ kiln was built by brickmaker, Robert Price Edwards, and was able to produce 9,000 bricks per day, with the clay coming from the pit nearby. The Hoffman Kiln Trust was formed in 2015 to care for this unique structure and its surrounds. Please join the Trustees at this celebratory afternoon!
