Forest & Bird Presents: What we have learnt about Godwits and knots over the past 50 years

A landmark event in awareness of migratory shorebirds in Aotearoa came in 1975 with the formation of what is now known as the Pūkorokoro Miranda Naturalists' Trust. With the trust turning 50 this year, Phil Battley, Associate Professor in Zoology and Ecology at Massey University, looks back at what we knew about the main northern hemisphere migrants in the 1970s, and what we know now.

Part of a monthly programme of talks presented by Forest & Bird Manawatū Branch.
