The Manawatū Multicultural Council English class have published a book!
Our stories: Learning English step by step, was the creation of Kathleen von Dincklage-Stephens, one of the volunteer teachers for the Learning English classes. The idea behind the book was for her students to share their own stories, practice English and communicate more with their classmates.
The diverse class of adult students meet once a week to practice and learn English. Included in the book are written works from the students from 2023-2024. Kathleen is extremely proud of her students for their achievement and creating something special for themselves and others to enjoy. She said that watching the book come into fruition from an idea was like watching her baby grow. Kathleen edited the book along with her supportive editor Gabrielle von Dincklage.
