Happy Lunar New Year!
A special time of the year for whānau, food, rituals, games, and celebrations! Lunar New Year typically starts when the first new moon of the lunar calendar appears. The Chinese zodiac sign for 2025 is the Year of the Wood Snake and is associated with wisdom, intuition, transformation, and change.
There are lots of traditions followed by different cultures for Lunar New Year. Come and see the insightful display by the Manawatū Multicultural Council at the Central Library.
