Art Exhibition – The World I Want To Live In

| Category What's on

There’s nothing like new art to freshen up the walls!

‘The World I Want To Live In’ is a fascinating art exhibition from the creative community at How² Te Ako Charitable Trust. The artists are all from diverse minority groups within the city and have created some stunning works.

HOW² Te Ako Charitable Trust has been offering free art workshops led by artist Louise Billinghurst, bringing together artists from refugee, immigrant, and minority communities. Louise volunteers her time, fostering a supportive environment for creating art. The resulting artwork features in this exhibition titled “The World I Want to Live In”, which showcases the artists’ visions of happiness, peace, and the welcoming homes they aspire to.

Over 30 artists have participated in this exhibition, many eager to continue creating art. Students from the holiday program also contributed, enhancing this collective expression of hope and creativity.

Come and enjoy these unique pieces of art before November 14th. Ground Floor, Central Library.
