Anzac Programme

Anzac Day marks the anniversary of the landing of New Zealand and Australian troops, popularly known as ANZACs on the Gallipoli Peninsula in Turkey in 1915.

As a city, Palmerston North marks the anniversary with a Dawn and Civic Services each year on 25 April, Anzac Day. Palmerston North Libraries and Community Services also provide an Anzac Programme of events held close to Anzac Day to commemorate this important time in our nation's history.
