The Great Manawatū Steam Fair

An old black-and-white photograph of a man using a steam-powered tractor to pull a tree stump from the ground of a wide, grassy plain. The man stands at the back of the long tractor, which is in profile, with his hands on the steering wheel and looks back over his shoulder at the stump, which has been attached to the machine with a rope or cord. Steam billows from the side of the tractor facing away from camera.

Join the Steam Traction Society for their annual fair! See history come alive with live displays, free trailer rides, steam sports and the chance to steer an engine with one of their qualified drivers. The fair will have a sausage sizzle, cold drinks and ice creams for sale; and a raffle with four prizes to be won. There is parking on site, with space available for campervans and disability ticket holders. The site is dog friendly, for friendly dogs on leash at all times. Entry is by cash only at the gate.

Ticket information:

Single ticket (ages 5yrs+) $10.00
Carload (maximum of 5 people)  $30.00
Steer an Engine  $5.00
