75 years ago, this year, the SS Goya sailed to New Zealand bringing displaced persons from Central, Southern and Eastern Europe as skilled labourers to fill the post WW2 labour shortage.
After their time at Pahiatua Camp several families settled in Palmerston North.
This small exhibition shines light on their stories and the heritage they brought with them.
Brought to you by the Palmerston North based project - Untold Stories: WW2 Displaced Persons who settled in New Zealand.
