Is there a community garden in Ashhurst?

Yes. There is a community garden at the Ashhurst Library. It is kindly maintained with the help of RECAP: The Society for the Resilience and Engagement of the Community of Ashhurst and Pohangina Inc. Everyone is welcome to take what is available in the garden, you do not have to be a volunteer to benefit from this great resource.

There is also a sharing shelf in this garden. If you have an abundance of fruit or veges at your place, this is the place you can drop some off for others to enjoy.
