Do you have a Coding or Programming Club?

We have a free fortnightly Coding Club aimed at children aged 8-13, although older ages are welcome to come along.

Members use Fiero Code a self-guided, self paced an online coding platform that teaches programming skills.

Where is Code Club?

Code Club meets in the Ground Floor Digital Hub every second Sunday from 10am-12pm.

Do you only use Fiero at Code Club?

No, sometimes we may get out some Robots or electronic kits to experiment with. Or if you want to learn from a different website or guide you are welcome to. (Although staff may not be able to help you much)

How Do I register?

Do I need my own device?

You can bring your own laptop, tablet or Chromebook to Code Club if you have one, but the Library has ample computers to use.

Do I have to come to every session?

You are welcome to attend Code Club any time it suits you.

Can I use Fiero without coming to Code Club

Yes, you are encouraged to use Fiero as often as you like. The more time you spend using it the more you learn.

Do I need to have Coding Experience?

No, it is a great place to start learning the basics.

We would love people with coding skills to be involved in supporting the learning experience of members. Please contact us

Can you help reset my Fiero Password?

Yes, the Library Staff coordinators can reset your password.
