The Medical Museum was established in 1980 by Dr David Warnock, a passionate collector of medical history. The Museum has collected approximately 10,000 objects related to Palmerston North Hospital, the Manawatū region, and New Zealand. It is administered by a charitable trust which was incorporated in 2001.
