Merv Hancock (1926-2016) was a son of Palmerston North, a child welfare officer, city councillor, educator, historian and champion of the underdog. Professor Emerita Margaret Tennant talks about the significance of his life to Palmerston North, and why she considers him one of our most worthy ‘movers and shakers’.
