Presented by Russell Poole

An illustrated talk about the experience of Flock House trainees. Orphans of British seamen killed in WWI, who came to Aotearoa New Zealand between 1926 and 1931 as farm cadets, were accommodated at Bulls and Palmerston North. Russell Poole will talk about the orphans’ experiences. Family testimony and other evidence questions the quality of both the training and subsequent employment. Consider registering for the 2pm trip to Bulls, Flock.House.100, which follows Russell’s talk.
