Behind the Front Page: Press Photography Highlights

Old brownie camera in front of a newspaper titled "The Weekly News" and a yellow MAVtech logo at the bottom.

While newspapers are an invaluable text resource for local historians, press photography is often overlooked. From the personalities which put pictures onto pages to how different types of cameras changed the photos we see, MAVtech’s photography specialist, Jacob Brookie, will share how photography has changed the way we see our communities and ourselves forever. A selection of vintage press cameras from the 1920s to the 1960s will also be on display. See the J.V. Kyle and Radio 2ZO display at the Central Library.
