We are delighted to host the award winning super-uber talented illustrator Donovan Bixley on Thursday 13 October at Central Library. This will be a fun family event with Donovan reading from his books and sharing his best drawing tips and ideas for budding artists. PLUS, be the first in the world to get your paws on Donovan's brand new full colour Flying Furballs annual/comic book 'Take-Off!'

At Central we also celebrate International Space Week (October 4-10) with a new Beanstack reading challenge - Look Up! Explore our Universe - The James Webb Space Telescope Challenge (NASA) which will run throughout the holidays and beyond. This challenge starts on 1 October. Join visiting author Erin Willson at all our locations and celebrate the magical Monarch Butterfly and the unique story of their journey to Aotearoa as she launches her new book 'Monarchs of Aotearoa'.

Across locations we again host a number of play sessions with Sport Manawatu AND Canine Friends Pet Therapy drop in again for a visit too!
