Perfect Picture Books with Alan Dingley @ Te Pātikitiki Library

There are so many AMAZING picture books out there, but which ones can help kids navigate this crazy world?

Bookhunter Alan Dingley will read Picture Books from the NZ Book Awards shortlist, as well as his favourites, and even some titles parents might find handy for life's tricky moments.

This event is also part of the Palmy Kids Read NZ's Best Reading Challenge.

  • We celebrate the announcement of the finalists in the NZ Children's and Young Adult Book Awards with a new Beanstack reading challenge - Palmy Kids Read NZ's Best which will run throughout the holidays and beyond, leading up to the awards night.
  • This challenge starts on 8 July and ends 12 August. You can join up to beanstack via http://palmerstonnorthcitylibr... Read finalist books or books by New Zealand authors, earn badges and be in to win prizes.

Te Pātikitiki Library is at the end of the Monrad Park carpark, 157 Highbury Avenue, Palmerston North.

  • We have a fantastic warm place with lots of things to do.
We've got all of the PN City Libraries resources available to us (tell us what you need and we'll get it for you). And also a great playground outside, a huge free car park, free tea and coffee for adults, cold water for the kids, a microwave to heat things up, toilets, a baby changing area, and free computers, scanning to email, and printing/photocopying.
