Join us for the Launch of Roni Fitmaurice's extraordinary memoir Don't Follow Me Vera Girl, the product of three decades of remembering, writing and collaborating, with encouragement and support from loyal friends.

Roni was determined to see her life story in print before she reached the end of her ninth decade. It is a story about deprivation and resilience. Roni's life on the streets of 1940s Liverpool and her domestic life in New Zealand in the 1960s were typical of the eras - but Roni's life was far from typical.
