Wedding Bells at Tōtaranui Historic House

Between 1875 and 1972, Tōtaranui was venue for several weddings, the earliest being that of Eveline Manson and George Haggitt in 1900, depicted in a photograph now part of the collection at Te Manawa Museum. This event is your opportunity to continue this tradition by posing for a wedding photo outside Tōtaranui, just like Mr and Mrs Haggitt did 126 years ago. You don’t have to pose with your real spouse – just bring a friend, get dressed up, and a professional photographer will do the rest. Costumes are provided, or you can bring your own.

Bookings are essential for this event and a fee of $39 applies per couple. Edited photographs will be shared with couples within two weeks of the event. Visit Te Manawa website for details.
