After the Polish children departed, the Pahīatua Camp became home for over 4000 Second World War Displaced Persons. Dr Tania Kopytko, coordinator of the Untold Stories local history project, will present a talk about the Displaced Persons Camp and experiences of some of the Displaced Persons’ who settled in our region.
