¡Hola! Bonjour! Nǐ hǎo! We are improving access to our collections by rearranging our Countries collection in the non-fiction area of the Central Library.
On Tuesday night, our Content team gathered the trolleys and set about their task - moving multiple books, magazines and DVDs around the Countries section of Central Library to improve visibility and access to one of our biggest collections.
Want to learn a new language or brush up on some key phrases before your next overseas trip?
Now, if you're learning a language you can find language guides at the beginning of the Global Countries sequence. Travel guides, writing and histories are also available. We've moved Countries magazines to the front of the living room, created a single 'returned today' area, and have the Countries DVDs at the end of the sequence with our gorgeous over-sized books.
Please ask staff to show you around the new arrangement and let us know what you think.
Speaking of learning a language, You can find out about countries and languages around the world with our digital collections. We've highlighted a selection below for you to dive right into.
