‘Maths is Fun’ (MIF) is a FREE family orientated mathematics holiday programme for children aged 5-13 years. This exciting initiative is funded by the Eastern and Central Community Trust through Wairarapa REAP.
The programme presents fun, interactive Maths activities and games designed to increase children’s understanding and confidence in the way they think about mathematical concepts and apply this knowledge to everyday situations.
This programme is aimed at all children with all levels of maths experiences. It is neither an extension programme, nor a remedial programme, but is for all children and their families to have fun together while working with many aspects of numbers, shapes and problems.
MIF will be delivered by trained teachers at two locations during the July school holidays:
Central Library (week 1: 11th-14th July) and
Roslyn Community Living Room (week 2: 17th-20thJuly)
Each child will spend the equivalent of one day, broken into two ½ day sessions.
There will be a finale celebration at the end of the programme for all participants and their families.
Limited places, registrations are essential. Registrations open 9am Monday 19th June
