Searching for movies

Library catalogue search tips 

Search in the Library catalogue using title keyword or general keyword for words you think might be in the title. 

Author browse 

Use author browse (last name, then first name) to find movies with famous actors or by famous directors. If you get a long list with your general searches you can limit the results to “Adult DVDs or Videos”.

For example: author/artist Scorsese, Martin

will find movies such as Raging Bull, Taxi Driver, Goodfellas, Cape Fear and The Aviator, all directed by Martin Scorsese.

Another example: author/artist Foster, Jodie

will find the movies Contact, The Silence of the lambs, Taxi Driver, Flightplan, and others, all starring Jodie Foster.
