Internet Use
Paid access to the World Wide Web and free access to online databases and selected websites are available at the Central Library and our branch libraries. Use our Web Searching Portal for access.
The Library's Internet computers must NOT be used to display or download restricted or objectionable material.
Children's use of the Internet is the responsibility of their parent, guardian or caregiver.
Paid email and Internet access:
Pay-for-use internet facilities are available in Community Cyber-space on the Mezzanine Floor at the Central Library and at the Branch libraries.
Paid access to Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Publisher and Works are also available here.
Free Access websites and eResources:
Free access to selected sites, and to Library eResources, is available in most areas of the Central Library, and at our Branch libraries. Enquire at any Information Desk for details.
Free access web sites cover these topics: New Zealand government, Palmerston North and the Manawatu, Health, Books and literature, Careers and employment, and Business and telephone directories.
