Place reserves

Follow these steps to reserve the first available copy of an item:

To request a specific copy of a magazine, go to our magazine reserves page.

1. Sign into My Card.
   
   
2. Search the catalogue.
   For tips on searching see this page.
   
   
3. Click the Request Item button next to the item you wish to reserve.
   
   
4. You'll see a message like this informing you about the reserve charge. You can choose the pickup location from the drop-down list as shown.
   
   
   

   
   
   Click on Request.
   
   

5. You'll now see this message which confirms that your reserve has been placed, giving you your position in the queue and pickup  location.
   
   
   
   
   
6. If you wish to keep searching, click Return to Searching.
   
   Clicking Signout and Return will log you out of My Card.
