A grand old building lit to appear warm and inviting - the Living Room of the City.

The new building's whimsical and surreal aspects are emphasised by an appearance of visual permeability as part of the facade opens to the sky.

A series of copper and glass canopies reflect the fragmentary yet playful nature of the building - particularly when inserted into elements of the original facade.
