Location
The Welcome Lounge on the Mezzanine Floor has the most recent copy of each
New Zealand newspaper, including all copies of our international newspapers.
All back copies of the New Zealand newspapers, and all copies of the Independent Financial Review and the National Business Review are shelved in the New Zealand and Pacific Islands Zone.

All newspapers are reference only and are kept for two months, except for the following:
- The National Business Review and the Independent Financial Review are kept for one year.
- The Guardian, Tribune, Central Districts Farmer, Feilding Herald and Rangitikei Mail are kept for one year. After one year they are available on microfilm.
- Back copies of the Manawatu Standard and the Dominion Post are available on microfilm.
The Branch Libraries at Ashhurst, Awapuni, Te PÄtikitiki and Roslyn hold copies of the local community newspapers, the Manawatu Standard and the Dominion Post.
