The Liberation of Paris: 1944

International speaker: Professor Michael Neiberg In this presentation Michael Neiberg, Professor of History, Department of National Security and Strategy at the U.S. Army War College explores Paris’s dramatic and triumphant resistance against the Nazis. In a bid to save their city, ordinary Parisians took to the streets and through valiant fighting, shrewd diplomacy and the last-minute aid of the Allies saved the City of Lights. Light refreshments available from 5:30pm/lecture at 6pm. Event sponsored by Massey University and Alliance Francaise. Event Central, Ground Floor (George Street Entrance), Central Library.
