National Bibliographic Database

Change of access: The National Library of New Zealand has launched a new catalogue called the New Zealand Libraries' Catalogue

  • This is free to access and does not required a special login.
  • Please use this instead of the National Bibliographic Database.

About the New Zealand Libraries' Catalogue

The New Zealand Libraries' Catalogue (NZLC) provides bibliographic information for over 10 million New Zealand and overseas-published books, serials, magazines, CDs, and so on.

It also gives the names of the New Zealand Libraries that have copies of these items (provided that the libraries have reported their holdings to the National Library of New Zealand, the database's publisher).

Once an item has been found, you can then link straight to that library's catalogue and find out whether it is in or out.
