A review of branch library opening hours
About the questionnaire
The Palmerston North City Library is investigating ways of improving our service to the public at its branches (Awapunu, Ashhurst, Roslyn and Te Pātikitiki).
We are reviewing our opening hours. Below are the proposed schedule, some points to note, and a brief questionnaire.

Points to Note
- Library users would gain one additional hour of opening per week. This extra hour would be on Saturday, and likely be one of the busiest hours of the week.
- Branch libraries would be open five mornings including Saturday.
- Branch opening hours would be standardised.
- The proposed day closed (Monday) is the first- or second-slowest day of the week for checkout of books and other materials, for all the branches.
- 5pm closings in winter are for security purposes.
The branch libraries would be closed on Mondays to enable work on book collections and prepare programmes for the public.
Questionnaire
Please print the questionnaire and return it to any branch library or to the Central Library, by Tuesday, 9 June 2009.
