Library news

Roslyn Library open on Monday 18 July

with a larger and brighter space for our collections and events.

Alternative service available

The Mobile Library will be outside Roslyn on:

Monday 12 – 1 pm
Tuesday 12 – 1 pm
Wednesday 12 – 1 pm
Thursday 12 – 1 pm
Friday 2 -5 pm

We are working on getting the library up and running as soon as we can, and progress is being made on the exciting new look. Unforeseen circumstances mean that reopening has been delayed.

Check out photos of the renovations on our Facebook page

There is also chance that it will be closed longer than this.

Collecting your reserves

Reserves are available to be collected at the Central Library during the closure.  Alternatively please phone the Central Library to arrange pickup from the Mobile Library or another branch.

Phone (06) 351 4100.

Why is Roslyn closed?

The opportunity arose for the Palmerston North City Library to take over the space of the building adjacent to the Roslyn Library.  As a result, by early August the Roslyn library will be twice the size it is now.

There will be more room for:

  • the preschooler Jumping Jellybeans programme and craft sessions,
  • relaxing on the couches,
  • reading,
  • and enjoying the atmosphere in this community library.

This is an exciting opportunity to redevelop the Roslyn Library to enable us to offer better service and facilities for the local community.
