Adult Literacy in the 21st Century - Dr Franco Vaccarino
Dr Franco Vaccarino will be talking about “Adult Literacy in the 21st Century”.
He has worked in South Africa and New Zealand and will be drawing on his experiences in these countries. He has worked on some really interesting projects such as a literacy scheme in a commercial bank in Johannesburg and a family literacy project in various sites throughout South Africa, including urban and rural areas, a farm school, a squatter camp, a mother-child prison, an AIDS-orphaned village, and a special needs school.
