Adult Learning Fair

A number of different organisations from around the local area will be hosting stands and letting people know about the adult learning opportunities they provide.

The groups will include adult literacy and numeracy, ESOL, lifelong learning, community education.  Many of these groups also provide tutor training courses so may be of interest to people who want to teach as well as learn.  The event will start with a talk by Councillor Annette Nixon and a morning tea.

'Paintings from the human archive' - new paintings by Kirsty Porter.

Painted from photographs from her past, Kirsty examines the nature of memory - does she remember the event or does she remember the photograph? A crystalline ooze appears in throughout the paintings, drawing our attention to the potent life force of each scenario.
