Hone Tuwhare Tribute at the City Library

On a sunny afternoon in February 2008 four New Zealand poets and a crowd of 100 people gathered to pay tribute to Hone Tuwhare in the Palmerston North City Library.

The poets each shared a little of what Hone and his work meant to them, read some of their own works and then a favourite Tuwhare poem.

The event was recorded and is presented below in four parts as audio mp3 files. We invite you to download and listen to these recordings for your personal use or study.
